Being a better SIP network player

• Outbound registrations give up

  • If we haven’t got a password
  • If authentication fails
  • If host is not reachable

• Invites give up

  • If we fail authentication or have no authentication credentials when challenged

• Retransmissions now controlled by standard SIP timer T1

  • We do not hammer a SIP device/service with retransmissions, causing havoc in the traffic.
  • More in sync with other devices
