- What is the strategic relevance of the answers to those questions?
Those are some of the questions that might be on the agenda during the strategic sessions on the 19th of March in the NH-Hotel in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The idea of this sessions is to bring a small group of policy makers, advisors and decision makers together and discuss the strategic implications of the use of open standards and open source software. This event is organized in the slipstream of the annual congress of the Holland Open in Connection (Nederland open in Verbinding, NOiV) program. The congress takes place in Utrecht at Media Plaza at the 18th of March. The next day, March 19th, the strategic breakfast and lunch sessions will take place. It is a cooperation between Olle E. Johansson of Edvina, Evert Jan Westera of the Telecom Management Association, Fabrice Mous who will be the moderator of the day and Erik de Wild of Tripple-o who took the initiative. This team will do their very best to make the sessions something very special. The focus of the breakfast session will mainly be on the telecom developments in relation to open standards and open source. The second session will have a more general focus as far as open standards and open source software and the strategic implications are concerned.
